Three days in April with a family of six

Back in April, I spent three days showing a lovely family around Ireland. There were six of them: four adults and two children, aged 7 and 10. Our trip took us through Waterford, Powerscourt, Kilkenny and Galway, and out to the Cliffs of Moher.

As beautiful as those places are, it was the little moments that made those days special. I remember the children’s faces when we stopped to see some farm animals. They lit up, and it reminded me that the simplest things often make the happiest memories.

Then there was John Senior. I loved listening to his stories and hearing him talk about history. There’s nothing I enjoy more than a good conversation.
